“The brand depended on Ivanka Trump as a symbol of aspiration and possibility, selling dresses, shoes and accessories meant to signal confidence without pushing fashion’s envelope. But politics brought scrutiny. Most of her products were made overseas even as Donald Trump decried outsourcing and threw up tariffs meant to keep jobs at home. China granted the company trademarks, bringing accusations of favoritism and emoluments. In the end, the company will join a long list of defunct Trump enterprises, including casinos, magazines, steaks and ill-fated Trump University….”

“Corruption tends to come in two flavors: the sort that doesn’t take work and the sort that does. Flying first class is easy; circumventing the law to obtain a $31,000 dining-room set is hard. And then there is Jared Kushner….”

“Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has either indicted or gotten guilty pleas from 19 people and three companies so far — with most of those being announced just in the past few weeks.

That group is composed of four former Trump advisers, 13 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer. Five of these people have already pleaded guilty — the latest being former Trump campaign staffer Rick Gates, who signed a plea deal and committed to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation Friday….”

“Officials in at least four countries have privately discussed ways they can manipulate Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, by taking advantage of his complex business arrangements, financial difficulties and lack of foreign policy experience…”

“…it’s clear that the Trump administration is still embroiled in huge conflicts of interest.”

“…The Trump Organization saw a 3 percent decline in revenue during the 2016 campaign and the early months of the Trump presidency.

And during the past year, a number of Trump’s businesses — particularly those in blue states — appear to have taken a substantial hit. For example, attendance at his golf courses in the Northeast and on the West Coast has declined, with a double-digit drop in revenue at his course outside of Los Angeles.

In New York City — Trump’s hometown — the Trump brand seems radioactive in some quarters. In November, the residents of a Manhattan condo complex voted to have Trump’s name removed from three buildings. A Trump-branded luxury condo building on Manhattan’s West Side is currently suing for the right to do the same thing — although a Trump Organization lawyer has threatened to countersue if the building tries to do it.”

Why Boycott? The Emoluments Clause, look that up. Citizens should put their money where their mouth is. I’m doing that, and it’s working!

Just a thought here— why would you try to drive businesses out of when they support working Americans? So singled mothers should lose their jobs because of politics? Also, by your way of thinking, we should look up your employer and those of your children and boycott them, we should also look up the employers of every single democrat in office and boycott the companies that their children work for, including Chelsea Clinton because we want to attack everyone fairly and attack their children as well….pretty slippery slope you are creating.

    Hi GYW,

Great job so far and keep up the good work!

Wanted to let you know that our family will be buying 4 overseas airline tix (a $4K+ purchase) in the next few weeks. Will definitely avoid any of the OTAs listed here, and in fact will write in specifically letting them know that they lost the chance to compete for our business due to their Trump connections.

Regarding Nordstrom’s, just checked their site and only 3 (lonely) pairs of shoes turn up when searching for Trump brand products. It almost seems kind of sad/pathetic at this point. Hahaa. Perhaps time to cut them some slack and switch to positive reinforcement for taking a stand to drop Ivanka Trump going forward? Seems like this week’s press/headlines (and Trump’s juvenile comments) have done more for the cause then continuing to boycott Nordstrom’s.

  4. Is it possible that the reason Trump suddenly decided to agree to the One China policy was because ICBC told him they could call in his loan early?

Thanks for the list of places I will now be shopping. You liberal lefties have really stooped to a new low to boycott. This will have no effect only to enrage the majority of Americans who support Trump. I was actually sitting the fence on Trump till i saw the attacks from the left. Now I support him 100% and will make a point to buy things from your stupid boycott list.

Geez, you didn’t support Trump until someone told you NOT to support Trump. You are the worst kind of gullible.
